The plain version
Be kind, don’t break things, and your data is yours. That covers it. The rest of this page is the longer-form version, written so you can actually read it.
Who can sign up
You can create a PresentSphere account if you’re 16 or older in the EU, or 13 or older everywhere else. Younger family members are welcome on PresentSphere as managed profiles created by an adult; they don’t sign in themselves.
You agree to give us an email address you actually use, because that’s how we sign you in and how we’d reach you if something needed your attention.
What you can do
Use PresentSphere to plan and coordinate gifts for the people you love. Save wishlists. Add managed profiles for kids, partners, parents, and pets. Start a circle and invite the family. Set reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, and the dates that matter. Use Surprise Mode so the people in your circle can coordinate without spoiling your gift.
You keep ownership of everything you upload. We don’t claim rights to your wishlists, your hints, or your photos.
What you can’t do
- Resell PresentSphere or wrap it in another product.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data en masse.
- Use it to harass, threaten, deceive, or harvest information from other people.
- Upload anything illegal, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Try to break the security of the service, abuse rate limits, or interfere with other accounts.
If you do any of this, we may suspend or close the account. For serious things we may also report it to the relevant authorities.
Your responsibilities
You’re responsible for the people you invite into your circles. If you add a child as a managed profile, you confirm you’re their parent or legal guardian. If you put another adult in your circle, you confirm they’re comfortable being there.
Keep your sign-in email secure. PresentSphere uses email-based sign-in; if someone else has access to your inbox, they can take your account. We can’t protect against that on our end.
Our responsibilities
We do our best to keep PresentSphere available, fast, and honest about what we’re building. We host on infrastructure with good uptime, we keep daily backups, and we apply security patches promptly.
We’ll tell you if there’s a security incident affecting your data, on the timeline that GDPR requires (within 72 hours of us becoming aware).
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Danger zone. Deletion is permanent and cascades through your managed profiles, wishlists, hints, and reservations.
We can suspend or end your account if you violate these terms or if continuing to host the account would put us or others at risk. Where possible we’ll explain why and give you a chance to fix it first.
Disclaimers
PresentSphere is provided “as is.” We don’t promise it will be free of every bug, available every second of every day, or perfectly fit for whatever you imagined doing with it. We will, however, try.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our liability for anything arising out of your use of PresentSphere is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or (b) one hundred euros. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law (gross negligence, willful misconduct, statutory rights you have as a consumer).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where EU law defers, the laws of the jurisdiction where we’re incorporated. Disputes go to the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
